Founded in 1908, Lane Tech College Prep High School has enjoyed an impressive history of sustained athletic excellence evidenced by more than 500 city championships and the institution's apropos slogan: "The School of Champions." Major League All-Star Phil Cavaretta and Olympic gold medalist swimmer Johnny Weismuller are two the school's most notable alumni.

The item on offer here is undoubtedly one of the most stunning, spectacular, and ornate high school letterman sweaters ever conceived and executed.

The heavy high grade mustard colored wool is perfectly accentuated by forest green collar, button-path, sleeve stripes, sleeve cuff, and pocket trim. The front displays a huge forest green chenille "L" on white felt (affixed with gold colored swimmer and pool pins) and a forest green chenille "69" on mustard and white felt. The verso displays "Lane" in forest green chenille atop mustard and white felt above an over sized, multi-colored, die cut Indian head logo atop green and white left. The sleeves and front are adorned with seven amazing patches comprised of green/mustard/white felt with gold swiss embroidery celebrating the school, swim team, and various championships won.

Furthermore, the original six brown button front is intact, there is a local manufacturer's tag in the collar, and the overall condition is practically NRMT.
