Great signed jersey from on of the greatest goaltenders in NHL history. Known as "Saint Patrick" for all his miraculous saves, Hall of Famer Patrick Roy in 2004 was named by a panel composed of 41 writers, as well as fans, as the greatest NHL goalie of all-time. He played 11 seasons for the Montreal Canadiens and eight years for the Colorado Avalanche, winning two Stanley Cups with each team. He is the only goalie in NHL history to win the Conn Smythe Trophy (as the playoffs MVP) three times. In addition, Roy popularized the "butterfly" style of goaltending, now the norm. All original jersey really shows no use - always a chance that he wore it on the bench or for a period or two, but we are selling it as game issued and not worn. Avalanche logo on the front with 33 on both sleeves and back. "ROY" sewn on a plate on the back. Signed by Roy on the back in 8/10 black Sharpie. Fight strap inside. Starter tag and "58G-11-23" strip tag in the collar.
