Articles of agreement for the heavyweight fight between Bob Armstrong and Joe Butler on May 27th, 1898. Armstrong won by a Round 2 KO. Articles have small holes and paper loss. Armstrong was the 1896 World Colored Heavyweight Champion. Butler and Armstrong had fought twice before, splitting the bouts. Includes separate (3.5x5") photos of Butler (some spotting), and Armstrong; the Armstrong photo having a corner missing. Also, photo (7x9.5"), some paper loss, of Butler, Armstrong and unidentified official, possibly a "Chick Luca ." Framed 16x39.5".
