Wonderful vintage scorecard (4x6") from the second game of a double-header on July 5, 1886 as the Baltimore Orioles visited the Pittsburgh Alleghenys. This game was in the American Association, a major league at this time. The Alleghenys defeated Baltimore 13-2. The next season the Pittsburgh Alleghenys kept their name and became part of the National League. Four years later, they became the Pittsburgh Pirates team that has continued to this day. Scorecard features manager H.B. Phillips on the cover. Meticulously scored and EX-MT condition.
