1938 World Series action in Game 3 in the second inning. The Cubs are down 2-0 in the Series and this game is a scoreless tie. Lou Gehrig turns from first base to retrieve an errant throw from Yankee shortstop Frankie Crosetti as Cub pitcher Clay Bryant puts up hands to avoid running into the Iron Horse. The throw must have gone out of play, because Bryant reached third on the play. Alas for the Cubs, Bryant never scored. The Cubs lost this game, and the next, and the Yanks swept the Series.
