Extremely rare vending case contains an incredible 4,784 mint state cards. Fascinating issue released by Topps in postcards predates the genius of Wacky Packs. But there is a clear MAD magazine influence here in this issue. “Underground” artists like Jay Lynch, Bill Griffith, and Art Spiegelman merged with the Topps old line of the great Norm Saunders. All had immense respect for the genius of MAD’s creator Harvey Kurtzman. Unopened cases such as this one is almost as rare as dinosaurs. With this issue being part of the important genre of Topps satire, this issue is extremely underrated and could be poised for a leap. Shown here is photo of the cards but they are merely used for illustration as the case is sealed. Best of all the cards boast artwork by perhaps the greatest comic and commercial illustrator of the era, the great Jack Davis.
