ADDENDUM: This pair of jerseys were donated by Marcus Allen to the San Diego Hall of Champions sports museum which was recently dismantled. They will come with a letter of authenticity from Lelands stating their provenance.

Marcus Allen had winner and star written all over him ever since he was in high school, where he led his Lincoln Hornets to the state title in the 1977 CIF championship game while recording 195 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He enrolled at USC and joined the fraternity of legendary Trojan tailbacks, earning national champion status in 1978, blocking Charles White to the Heisman in 1979, and then winning a Heisman of his own in 1981. As a Raider and Chief in a sixteen-year pro career, he proved to be the consummate professional, winner, and money player, earning six-Pro Bowl berths, Rookie of the Year in 1982, Super Bowl MVP in 1984, and NFL MVP in 1985. He was also the first person in NFL history to accumulate 10,000 yards rushing and 5,000 receiving. On offer here is Allen’s high school and college game issued jerseys which were originally donated to the San Diego Sports Hall of Fame by either Allen and/or the schools. The Hornets jersey is a Kelly green durene-knit blend with “9” screened in white on the front back and sleeves. The Trojans jersey is a maroon knit with “33” screened on the front and verso in gold and intact crotch piece. Both jerseys sport a “Russell Athletic 48” label in the tail.
