Beautifully signed 1941 Harry Heilmann bank check. Harry Heilmann the "Slug" played baseball between the years 1912 and 1932 mostly for the Tigers and a few seasons wirth Cincinnati. He won four American League batting championships, played in 2,147 games and retired with a .342 lifetime batting average, the third highest among right handed batters and was also inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1951. The check is from the Wabeek State Bank of Detroit, written for $229.92 and is in EX-MT condition. Writing and signature are 9/10 and in think black fountain ink. Nice piece.
