While Babe Ruth singles are desirable from any era, those with a 1927 vintage hold an extra special place in the hearts of collectors and investors and, as such, have a certain premium attached to them. Regarded by many historians as the greatest team ever assembled, the 1927 Bombers (aka Murderer's Row) tallied 110 wins and swept the overmatched Pirates in the Fall Classic. Ruth headed the charge with his record sixty-home-run season. "Hardwood National League Baseball" is signed across the sweet spot by the Sultan of Swat with "Babe" in quotation marks as was prevalent during this period. Two of the side panels have been inscribed in another hand and read "New York 5 vs Cincinnati 4" and "West Palm Beach 3-31-27." The game was played at Wright Field and the ball appears to be game used. Ruth's signature grades a 5/10. A tremendous artifact from an historic season. PSA LOA
