Spanning back to the early days of the dead ball era comes this hotel register from New Hotel Remington in Pomeroy, Ohio, featuring handwritten names of the 1902 Cincinnati Reds baseball squad. There are a total of approximately 100 pages, all containing at least 15-20 signatures, with one page containing 10 members of the team including: Bancroft, Corcoran, Seymour, Donlin, Steinfeldt, Peitz, Morrissey, Vickers. There appear to be two other signatures under the team name, being Woodruff and Surhoff. All names have been filled out in the same hand, whose exactly is unknown. At the top of the page it reads that the team checked in on October 10th, 1902, which is six games after their last game of the season. In fine condition with intact binding, some detached pages, and visible damage to the pages and covers. Signatures are consistently bold throughout the book and rate very high. Measures 11x18".
