This is a slightly heavier, kids size kimono with a brilliant teal that contrasts remarkably with the more muted colors throughout. Also has a teal breast tie indicating that this was for a young girl. From the Nippon Baseball Kimono Collection, an important archive of baseball and other sports-themed kimonos recently discovered in Japan and exported to the United States. Compiled over many decades they are the finest we have seen.
