This baseball was signed by the members of the inaugural Baltimore Orioles squad which debuted in 1954. After rebranding the hapless St. Louis Browns as the Orioles, Baltimore didn't fare much better in its first season, limping to a 54-100 record, but it wouldn't be too long before they were transformed into an American League powerhouse. The OAL Harridge ball was signed by 30 members of the '54 Orioles, including Dykes, Kretlow, Coleman, Bridewiser, Hunter, Kennedy, Garcia, Larsen, Turley, Skaff, Chakales, Diering, Abrams, Stuart, Oliver, Courtney and many more.
