The contract is signed by Finney inside in sharp black ink (9/10), President of the Pittsburgh Pirates William E. Benswanger (9/10) and league president, John Heydler in black ink (8.5/10). Finney held the distinction of having held the record for the most at bats without a hit (0-35) until pitcher Jason Bergman passed him in 2008.
