Straight from the field of dreams, magnificent J.F. Hillerich & Sons model 40JJ bat that is two-toned, just like Shoeless Joe's Black Betsy bats, with the barrel being dark brown and the handle lighter. The decal on the barrel is multi-colored and 80% complete with Jackson's face very legible. The 33.75" bat features a facsimile signature, "Joe Jackson," below his portrait on the decal. The bat itself has been used lightly, has tightly wound black tape and is in good condition. Jackson was famously embroiled in the Chicago Black Sox scandal of 1919, when eight members of the team were banished from baseball for allegedly throwing the World Series.
