Ultra rare regional food issue featuring Willard (Wayne) Terwilleger of the Washington Senators. The 1950s were the decade of the food regional issues, with Briggs Meat issue being one of the most rare. This regional issue included 2 player panels on hot dog packages and utilized the same images from the 1950’s Dan Dee Potato Chips and Stahl Meyer Franks sets, and were comprised of 28 Washington Senators players and 12 New York subjects. With their waxed surfaces, tendency to stain as well as nearly all of the cards being cut from their panels by excited young men, the Brigg’s Meats cards are the most condition sensitive cards of this food issue time period.
