Immaculate display of Cy Young's personal financial records from 1895, the year he won a championship with the Cleveland Spiders. Young is unquestionably among the pantheon of baseball greats, having retired in 1911 with four records that still stand to this day: most wins, most innings pitched, most games started and most complete games. He was one of the first players inducted into Baseball's Hall of Fame when he joined the 1937 class, and his legacy is kept alive today with the annual award that bears his name given to the best pitcher of both MLB leagues at year's end. Young's ledger encompasses nine pages, all in his hand, with two early signatures "Denton T. Young" and D.T. Young" on the first page. Just below is "c/o Cleveland BBC, Cleveland" in Young's hand. The rest of the pages are handwritten by Young in pencil, with content containing the names of Jesse Burkett (multiple times), Bobby Wallace, and Jake Beckley. Each page measures 3.5x8" and the set has been framed to 28x38". Comes from Barry Halper's Collection with an accompanying PSA LOA for signatures and all pages. The cover reads "The Barry Halper Baseball Archives" on the bottom.
