A uniformed John J Pershing the eventual only General of the Armies, addresses this signed photo to American Legion organizer Major William Deegan, who later had the Bronx expressway named after him. It is worth noting that Deegan served under General George Washington Goethals, whom also had a roadway named after him (Goethals Bridge) as well. Has a certificate of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
