This nice game-worn jersey was used by formidable Steelers nose tackle Casey Hampton during his rookie season. Known to teammates and fans as "Big Snack", he spent his entire 12-year career in Pittsburgh, winning two Super Bowls with the team in 2005 and 2008. Hampton was a force in the middle of the Steelers D-line and was named to the Pro Bowl five times. Hampton also gained elite status when he was named to the Steelers All-Time Team in 2007 which highlighted the top 33 players from the franchises founding in 1933. This white, road jersey was worn by Hampton in 2001 - his rookie season - after being selected in that year's NFL Draft in the first round. It has an "01-48" tag in the neck, and a Steelers Reebok size 48 tag on the tail. There are paint transfers throughout, as well as loose threads and three team repairs. There is a Steelers patch on the left shoulder and the jersey has been photomatched to Getty image #505143 from a Nov 25th, 2001 meeting with the Titans in which the Steelers won 34-24. All jerseys come directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
