This figure of Georges Carpentier is a perfect likeness of the former Light Heavyweight Champion as he appeared at the height of his terrific career, which included the famous "Million Dollar Gate" fight with Jack Dempsey in 1921. Resting on a bronze base which has been signed by the artist, Carpentier is in full fight pose. This French work has a few minor rubs, otherwise fine. Approximately 10" high dating to the early 20th century.
