This Ball Has Recently Been Featured in a FORBES Article Written by David Seideman

In the world of sports memorabilia, it doesn't get much better than this. This gorgeous, cream-colored Official National League (Frick) ball was single-signed by the one and only Babe Ruth. Single-signed Ruth balls are one of the most desirable things in the hobby, and this one does not disappoint as The Babe's majestic signature spans the sweet spot in 8.5/10 blue fountain ink. The ball dates to the mid-1940s, just a short time before Ruth passed away in 1948. The prodigious slugger was known for his offensive prowess on the diamond, as well as his outlandish off-the-field exploits, including once reportedly eating 12 hot dogs and drinking eight sodas between games of a double header. It was this sort of overly indulgent behavior that likely proved to be Ruth's undoing. The baseball legend was diagnosed with cancer in late 1946, and despite access to the best care available, he passed away less than two years later. The ball has dark stampings and slight smudging, and, other than a clear coat of protectant, it is clean. Comes with PSA letter. To put it plainly, this is a classic piece of memorabilia through and through.
