Mickey's Christmas Carol was an important reintroduction of the titular star to modern audiences. After exploding onto the scene in Depression era America, Mickey has since become one of the most recognizable characters in the world, but did not appear in any movies for 30 years until re-emerging in the Charles Dickens adaptation in late 1983. This offering is the first page of the wonderful comic strip series that premiered on October 3, 1982, as a companion piece to the movie. In conjunction with Mickey's long-awaited revival, Mickey's Christmas Carol was notable for the debut of Scrooge McDuck, who of course played Ebeneezer Scrooge. This historically important pen and ink artwork is NM.
