Lot Description  

Historic hoops publications abound in this intriguing lot, the earliest of which is a 1936 Stanford vs. Nebraska program. Others include a 1968 UCLA vs. Houston "Game of the Century" program and ticket stub featuring Lew Alcindor, 1942 "Buy a Bomber" Basketball Carnival, 1938 Yale Basketball schedule, 1973 NBA Finals, 1955-56 Syracuse Nationals (the year after they won the NBA title) vs. Knicks, signed by Dempsey & Hopkins, 1941 World's Pro Cage Tournament with NY Rens & Globetrotters, 1947 American-Serbian Basketball Tournament, 1956 Harlem Globetrotters vs. College All-Americans, (3) NCAA Regional Finals: 1944 Mid-West, 1945 Western, 1979 (Larry Bird), (4) Early NBA: 1949 Knicks vs. Stags, 1951 Knicks vs. Warriors, 1951 Knicks vs. Lakers and Celtics vs. Warriors, 1952 Knicks vs. Lakers, plus (20) additional college basketball issues, mostly from the Ivy League.
