Acquired from the Washington Senators bat boy who consigned the Mickey Mantle home run baseball we auctioned in August 2001. 1) Pair of game worn caps show strong use. "Wilson" tagging is sweat-stained headbands. One has number "15" in marker under visor. Caps once belonged to outfielder Don Lock and pitcher Dave Stenhouse. 2) Two pairs of game worn spikes were worn by Don Lock and coach Eddie Yost. Each shoe has owner's name in bold marker on tongue (Lock's have his number "4" as well). Both pairs are from "Wilson," and show exceptional use. 3) Game worn batting helmet has shortstop Ed Brinkman's number "11" on visor. "American Baseball Cap [size] 7 1/8" sticker inside. Good use. 4) Game worn glove used by pitcher Phil Ortega (who threw the Mantle home run ball mentioned above). "Spalding Rocky Colavito" model glove shows strong use, with barely visible "Ortega" written in marker on back.
