As one of the oldest and most popular monster issues, this offering includes subjects from the best and worst monster movies of all time. Offered is an uncut proof TEST sheet from the 1961 Nu-Cards Horror Monster set, depicting 16 cards. Interestingly, this sheet is orange, whereas the usual first series cards are in green, indicating the company was testing different color schemes before deciding on what they would eventually produce. Another factor in the proof concept is the numbers for the respective cards are different. The upper left shows the No. 1 card as being "THE ALLIGATOR PEOPLE" but the real card was No. 39 in the series. Measuring 13.25x17.125", this sheet is blank-backed and has the production cut circles on all four sides. Light peripheral wrinkles and one corner crease, none of which affects the 16 cards, this sheet remains in EXCELLENT overall condition, and would be one of the more interesting pieces of your non-sport collection.
