In 1933 Babe Ruth was at the tail end of his illustrious career when Goudey issued four cards of the Bambino in the standard 240-card Goudey baseball gum card set. As was the case back in the 1930s Goudey had a redemption program in exchange for its wrappers, offering oversized premiums, the key of which is that of Ruth. This offered 5.5x9" premium was originally issued with an easel back, and features the photographic image of the same Ruthian follow through we witnessed on card #53 and 144 of the regular issued set. However, this example has also been signed by Ruth, a glowing pencil signature, rating a solid 8/10. Attractively matted and framed to a dimension of 10x13.5". Lower right corner has pencil notation of "1934" where there also is a very small corner crease, which has no bearing in the tremendous display value of this signed Babe Ruth premium. Includes PSA LOA.
