This very rare, early Tigers game worn jersey is all original and was worn by pitcher Elden Auker. With the trademark gothic Detroit "D" on the front and "13" on back - both are original - "Auker 13" is stitched in the collar along with Spalding tag and "36" indicating the year, sewn in tail. It shows lots of use as the black piping is worn and missing at spots, there is a tear on the front of the jersey that has been reinforced (possibly by the team) with another matching piece of vintage flannel and there are a few small holes at the armpit areas. Auker won 13 games for Detroit in the 1936 season, which saw the Tigers place second in the American League standings.
