This Louisville Slugger C271 model bears the classic Ken Griffey, Jr., handle-tape, and was gifted to Mariners teammate and former 1984 Olympic Team member John Marzano. It was game-used to stroke his 51st home run of either 1997 or '98 and is personalized "To Marzman, Good Luck, Ken Griffey Jr. 24, HR #51." While the year of this home run bat can not be determined, 1997 was Griffey Jr's MVP season and in both years, he was the American League leader in HR's. Not to mention Griffey winning the Silver Slugger Award in both 1997 and 1998 seasons. This specimen shows outstanding use with many ball marks & stitch impressions throughout the barrel, including right on the barrel nameplate. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat marks are also visible on the right, left and back barrel. Measures 33.375" and weighs 29.8 ounces. Comes with LOA from Marzano's wife as well as a perfect PSA GU 10 LOA.
