Offered is a tremendous example of the 1974 TOPPS complete set, with most cards having sharp corners, high gloss and great color. A total of seven (7) cards have been submitted by Leland’s to PSA for third-party grading. These sets derive from the same collection as the 1964 Topps High Grade sets, which sold for record prices in our June Invitational auction and the 1965 Topps Superior High Grade Set (as well as many others) in this auction. These cards likely obtained directly from the Richard Gelman Card Company in the 1970s and '80s, where our consignor was a regular visitor. Includes: Graded Cards - PSA MINT 9: 2 cards w/#167 Tiant and 257 Bell. PSA NM-MT 8: 2 cards w/#33 and 283 Schmidt. PSA NM 7: 2 cards w/#20 Ryan and 260 Simmons. PSA EX-MT 6: 1 card, #1 Aaron. Ungraded Cards - #s 10 Bench (NM), 40 Palmer (NM/MT), 50 Carew (NM/MT), 55 Robinson (NM/MT), 80 Seaver (NM/MT), 95 Carlton (NM/MT), 100 Stargell (NM/MT), 130 Jackson (NM/MT), 215 Kaline (NM/MT), 252 Parker RC (NM/MT), 300 Rose (MINT, 65/35) and 456 Winfield (NM/MT, o/c). Grades 40% NM/MT to MINT (many MINT cards!), 43% NM, 17% EX to EX/MT, a few lesser.
