An emotionally expressive hand-colored litho from 1865, the title of which tells you all you need to know: "Death of President Lincoln." Framed to 13.5x17.5", the artwork - which features the subheads "AT WASHINGTON D.C. APRIL 15th, 1865" and "THE NATION'S MARTYR" - was published by Currier & Ives shortly after the 16th U.S. President was mortally wounded. The beautiful wood frame has some marks on the litho's border, but is otherwise VG-EX.
