From the 1955 NY Yankees' tour of Japan, this ticket and flyer are rare keepsakes. Perhaps partly because of its delicate paper stock, the 7.25x5.5" flyer has never before been seen and is written entirely in kanji, but the post-swing picture of Pinstripe greatness transcends language. The stub is from November 8, 1955, and the words New York Yankees and the iconic interlocking NY logo tell the tale. Shortly after their World Series loss to Brooklyn, the Bronx Bombers embarked on an incredible six-week tour, which included stops in the Philippines, Okinawa, and Guam.
