A significant historical tome, this 1936 high school yearbook features the sophomore year of Ted Williams from Hoover High School in San Diego, California. The varsity baseball photo is signed by a 17-year old Williams and 14 others on the squad, for which Ted also served as a pitcher, often striking out a dozen or more opponents. The year 1936 was also Williams' first playing in the minors for the PCL's San Diego Padres, for which he batted .271 in 42 games.
