This beautiful Hillerich & Bradsby 125 bat was wielded by Roger Maris during the latter years of his career, during which time he held the title of the single-season Home Run King. It bears a "016" stamp on the knob and measures 35". Gifted by Maris to a man named Steve, it is inscribed in black marker with "To Steve, Best Wishes." There’s a light layer of shellack on the bat, the knob has a handwritten "13" and appears to also have a "9" on the side. It displays nice use with a small chip on the knob, and wood separation on the backside of the barrel. There are also remnants of two tape rings on barrel, one on each side of nameplate. Maris was an MVP twice in his career, most notably his spectacular “61-in’61” campaign.
