Evoking images of leather helmets and traveling by rail cars, this spectacular vintage steamer trunk is so old that it could be from the inception of the Pitts-burgh Steelers team in the 1930s, and it was used to carry equipment and jerseys until just recently. It measures a hefty 40” long, 24” high and 22” deep, shows a ton of use, and in faded yellow stenciling on the top of lid is “PITTSBURGH STEELERS FOOTBALL CLUB.” Metal clasps remain intact and cloth tape is wrapped around the handles on each side to facilitate carrying, and while it does show the wear and tear of generations of use with some repairs, it still appears sturdy and functional to this day.
