Original pioneers in the world of space travel, the Mercury Seven astronauts were announced by NASA in 1959 and flew manned missions from 1961-63. This Official National League (White) baseball is in beautiful condition, graded 8 by PSA DNA, and bears the signatures of five of those seven originals: Alan Shepard, Scott Carpenter, Wally Schirra, Deke Slayton, and Gordon Cooper. Autographs average 8/10, and the ball receives an overall grade of 8/10. Of the two who aren't present, Gus Grissom perished in 1967 in the Apollo 1 fire, while John Glenn, who was the oldest, was the final remaining living member of that group before his recent passing.
