An early 1900s remnant from a commercial boxing gym of the Jack Johnson era, this leather laced ball stands at the top sporting a black tag with writing worn off so you cannot make out the manufacturer, but due to the quality of the piece it is top-flight. Bag rests on original hand-turned stand of honey finished oak, with heavy cast iron adjustable base with screw holes to set in floor. Stands 51" tall at a minimum but adjusts to much taller for the more blessed fighters. Confounding design as the ball soon becomes floppy from use, hence the rarity. This is very solid!
