The card collecting hobby we all enjoy begins with the box of packs full of cardboard treasures. Heading down to the local candy store, a pocket full of coins ready to be exchanged for a pocket full of heroes.

Topps' first full venture into the baseball card market was the 1951 Red Back and Blue Back card sets, which featured 52 cards in each set, with each card part of a flipping game kids could play. This unopened box of crisp 120 Red Back packs likely derived from a small find in Philadelphia many years ago. Inside the tightly sealed packs could be pristine cards of Hall of Famers Yogi Berra, Duke Snider, Phil Rizzuto, Bob Feller and Warren Spahn. With 52 cards in the entire Red Back set, there could even conceivably be up to five complete sets within this box. The outer shell lid has a missing corner where the price was located, while the inner box contains several creases and light staining, but the outer boxes adequately protected the highly valued contents inside. This is one of the earliest full unopened boxes known to be available and would be one of the highlights of an unopened box collection. Total 120 unopened packs.
