1975 was the second and final year Sugar Daddy issued a 25-card All Stars set featuring various football, hockey and basketball stars such as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Brad Park and Roger Staubach. Similar in size to the tobacco-era classic T206 set, the reasons for the smaller design were for packaging purposes, since the cards could not be wider than the caramel sucker candy. Additionally, they were made for placement on a poster from a mail-in offer. The cards are reminiscent of the 1938 Goudey “Heads-Up” collection, where a photo of the players’ head sits atop a cartoon-like image of their body. There are no cards inside the 8.5x7" box, which is EX.
