An important link in the evolution of the football helmet, this piece dates roughly from the 1930s. Unlike its fairly basic predecessors, this is one of the first helmets to provide an added amount of leather and padding in the temple area, and the extra sewn-on leather strips are quite noticeable. It also is one of the early models to provide impact room inside the top. This has no chin strap but it has been very well maintained, simply beautiful in EX-MT condition with Reach logo on front.
