Here's an amazing collection of heavy cardboard display boards with full color Type I images affixed. They appear to have been used in some type of photographic exhibition. There are 16 boards (each about 8x10”) depicting Muhammad Ali and the sights and sounds of Zaire prior to the “Rumble in the Jungle.” Each board has three strips with 12 photographs, therefore, there are a total of nearly 200 photographs. All boards have the photographer stamped on the versos. Images include Muhammad holding up Black Power fist, African Band at the Stadium, Mobutu walking into Stadium, Ali coming to Zaire on airplane, Don King, Bundini Brown, famed bilingual “Foreman-Ali…Brothers” sign, BB King, Muhammad Ali with singer James Brown and more.
