This rarity from the All American Girls Professional Baseball League represents the Peoria Redwings and dates from the latter half of the 1940s. A sturdy, colorful, embroidered patch, it measures 4.5" in diameter, was worn on the center breast of the dress-style uniforms, and originates from an estate, with programs pictures and ephemera from a bygone era. It portrays a Chief in headdress, with the bold words "CITY OF PEORIA ILLINOIS" encircling him and a black border. Slightly soiled but still bright and in good condition for its age.
