A beautiful five-some of baseballs signed by New York Yankees, all are on official AL or NL baseballs. Three are from the Jim Armstrong collection; Ray "Slim" Caldwell (d. 1967), Ben Chapman (d. 1993) and Hank Borowy (d.2004). The Caldwall ball is particularly rare, as the hurler is not only known for pitching for the New York Highlanders (who became the Yankees) in the early 1900s, but he was also hit by lightning during a game in 1919 - but stayed in to record the final out for the win! These three baseballs have been shellacked but signatures are strong, 8/10. Also included are baseballs signed by Dan Pasqua and Raul Mondesi. A fun selection of Bronx Bombers across the generations.
