Two incredible pieces represent the best horse racing graphics we have seen. Published by Hamilton Bank Notes Engraving, this is the original money-engraving company of patriot Alexander Hamilton's. Rich Victorian graphics on the finest quality stock, combined with vibrant color, are a Mount Everest of lithography. The first piece shows the "Coney Island Jockey Club" and is a cardboard advertisement. The other is a never-folded proof "programme" (blank backed that was never folded). It is for the "Realization Stakes for 1889 $35,000." Both likely came out of their original archives/files. The program is (8x6") NRMT on heavy stock, and the cardboard sign (8x10") has a a few creases and some back damage as it was once mounted in a book of sorts. These are just gorgeous!
