Lot Description  

1954 Topps made up for lost time issuing its first two Ted Williams cards while at the same time losing the rights for Mickey Mantle's image to rival competitor Bowman. This set also marks the arrival of several young superstars in Hank Aaron, Al Kaline, and Ernie Banks. The key cards grade: #1 Williams EX, 10 Robinson VG-EX, 17 Rizzuto VG-EX, 30 Mathews EX, 32 Snider EX, 50 Berra VG-EX, 90 Mays VG-EX, 94 Banks EX, 102 Hodges EX-MT, 128 Aaron VG looks nicer, 201 Kaline VG, #250 Williams EX-MT. A evenly matched set that averages VG-EX overall.
