A unique collection: 1) Pair of handcuffs used at the Worcester House of Corrections in Worcester, Mass. The jail closed in 1974 and these antique cuffs were presented to a local dignitary in the town. Superb example of prison art, the plaque is 12x8.25", marked WJ & HC. 2) 1860s Gustav Eiffel cast iron sign (2x6.25)", translates to G. Eiffel & Co. Engineers Builders Santa Clara Peret (Paris)." 3) Softball game 1940 program signed by Robert Ripley and Lowell Thomas, from a local Connecticut game for the benefit the Police Pension Fund. 4) Carte-de-visite of the Chief of the Bangor, Maine Fire Department, circa 1880. He's pictured here in full regalia, including belt, hat, badge and trumpet, EX-MT condition. 5) Motorcycle fold-out brochure from the 1920s opens up to be a full sized poster! 6-8) Three 19th century clocks, not functional presently: 1870s Ballooning Clock (16" tall Ingraham doric time and strike mantle), 19th Century Spiderweb (web pattern etched into glass front, 18.5" tall by Wm. L. Gilbert), 19th Century Seth Thomas Time & Strike, (25" tall model with reverse painting on glass front with carriage scene). 9) 1920s folk art whirligig is hand-carved, showing an automobile with man fixing it beside. 10) 1889 Favorite Folk Ballads large illustrated book with several lithos of black stereotypes, each worthy of framing. 11) Original Hill Street Blues Shooting Script (#12 Intestinal Fortitude).
