One of the most historic sports jerseys ever to be offered for public sale, this stunning blue Team USA jersey with red and white satin lettering was worn by goalie Jim Craig throughout the 1980 Winter Olympics. This includes the all-important Gold Medal game against Finland; while the victory over the USSR was important, they still needed to beat Finland to secure the gold. Tagged with manufacturer "Norcon" of Forest Lake, Minnesota, the historic number "30" is in satiny red, with white trim and of course "CRAIG" in white against blue. A sensational, immensely handsome jersey from the most important sporting event of the 20th Century. This lot will come with signed Letter of Authenticity and Provenance from Jim Craig, himself. Estimate: $500,000-1,000,000.
