Fusaichi Pegasus’ destiny for greatness came to fruition when he captured the 2000 Kentucky Derby under the twin spires of Churchill Downs. He would go on to win four major stakes races and earnings of nearly $2,000,000. Upon his retirement, the Kentucky Derby winner with regal bloodlines and stunning conformation sold for a reported $60 million to Coolmore Stud as a stallion prospect – a record at the time.
