A piece of hockey immortality, this is the very jersey worn by Craig during the "Miracle on Ice" series, including the game in which the U.S. defeated the Soviet Army team in the greatest upset in sports history. The jersey is tagged by Norcon of Forest Lake, Minnesota. Number 30 is double layered in red and blue satin lettering on the verso as well as the sleeves, and USA is double layered on the front against white synthetic material. This jersey is not just about a team, it is about a country, and this is communicated in all its glory. One of the finest sports jerseys ever to be publicly offered. This lot will come with signed Letter of Authenticity and Provenance from Jim Craig, himself. Estimate: $750,000-1,000,000.
