Long before Syracuse University was the top sporting attraction in Syracuse, New York, the Chiefs were the team that drew the most attention in the Salt City. From the sixth season in club history, this unusually shaped opening day ticket from Municipal Stadium is full and unused but stamped "Void." The top of ticket is die-cut and printed like a baseball. It is in EX-MT condition but for void punches. Like today, the 1939 Chiefs played in the International League. But unlike that unaffiliated season, the Chiefs are now the top farm club for the Washington Nationals.
