A fabulous collection of material from 1938 Rose Bowl hero Perry Schwartz: 1-2) Gorgeous dress sweater with jersey stripes in mustard very similar to a game jersey in make and model except a v-neck. "Schwartz" is embroidered in red in the collar and it displays a Wil Wite tag. Comes with gorgeous 8x10" portrait photo of Perry Schwartz wearing this very pullover, stamped by photographer "J.F. Innk" on verso. 3) Nice practice jersey/sweatshirt is two-toned in blue outside, and in yellow inside, with a Size 44 tag in collar. All is overall EX-MT. Perry Schwartz was a First Team All-American for the 1937 California Golden Bears' 10-0-1 "Thunder Team." His finest moment came in the 1938 Rose Bowl, when he caused an Alabama fumble that set up the Golden Bears' first touchdown in a 13-0 victory in Pasadena. He went on to play professionally with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
