The rarest of all the Jackie Robinson comic books - ten times rarer than the Fawcett books this aped. Jackie Robinson comic book was printed in June 1950 and was originally distributed as a furoku or insert in an issue of Chugakusei no Tomo (Middle School Friend) magazine. The 32-page biographical Japanese-language comic book details the life of the man who broke the Major League color barrier. It is similar but somewhat different than the U.S. version in that it opens on the left (rather than the right), it is an unusually clean copy, with two-toned blue and white comic illustrations and a very heavy cover far nicer than the U.S. version. Features the same images as the American version with balloons in Japanese. Condition is very strong EX+, unusually high grade for this comic book.
